Danny Colonna has served as Councilman at Large for the city of Brook Park since January 2002. He is currently serving his 4th term on City Council. As Councilman at Large Danny is a city wide representative on City Council. Danny currently serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee, Co-Chairman of the Planning Committee and is a member of the Legislative Committee. 

  Over his 6 years on City Council, Danny has advocated the importance of expanding Brook Parks tax base and finding new revenue sources, while at the same time maintaining our present tax base such as Ford Motor Company and NASA Glenn.  Danny says this is essential if city services and programs are to stay and grow at the level residents have come to know and expect. It must also be understood that a growing and stable tax base means new businesses and new jobs. Danny helped spur the formation of the Brook Park Chamber of Commerce and Office of Aging. The Chamber has taken a key roll in creating stability in the business community, and the Office of Aging has helped secure the growth and stability of senior services and programs. Danny also sponsored legislation for responsible contracting which will benefit many city projects and future roads programs to help make sure that the contractor is a adequate and responsible contractor and that the final product they produce is top of the line. As Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Committee from 2002-2005, Brook Park residents saw all city parks and playgrounds either renovated or replaced. Most recently Danny sponsored legislation to create a Beautification and Pride Committee which will focus on encouraging and leading in beatifying the homes, businesses and public properties and to promote and acknowledge the public display of pride of being part of Brook Park. Danny also stresses that even though the legislative process is key to the cities development, improvements and safety, it is tending to the needs of the residents that is most important. Danny is proud and Honored to be your Councilman at Large and will continue to work to the best of his ability for you, the people of Brook Park.

  In addition to being a member of Brook Park City Council, Colonna also serves as an Executive Committee Member for Cuyahoga County. Danny is also a member of the Sons of American Legion Post 610 and is a parishioner at Saint Mary's Church in Berea. Danny is also a member of the Brook Park Chamber of Commerce and is a former participant in the Berea City Schools Junior Achievement Program. Danny also volunteers his time as a coach for the Tri-City Youth basketball and football programs. From 1993-2005 Danny served as an assistant football coach at Midpark High School.

  Danny has called Brook Park home his entire life and As a life long resident of Brook Park, Danny understands that the residents needs come first and preaches that the only promise that can be made to the residents of Brook Park by any elected official or public servant, is the promise to work as hard as you can for the people you represent. Danny is the proud son of former State Representative Rocco J. Colonna and Mother Shirley Colonna. Danny has two sisters, Lavaine and Tina. Danny Colonna is a product of the Berea City School District. After high school Danny Attended Cuyahoga Community College and Cleveland State University. In July of 2001 Danny married Danielle Louis Riedel. Danny and Danielle Along with Scrappy, their lovable fox terrier reside at 17948 Sheldon Road.
