Beautification and Pride Committee

Mission Statement

¨      The Mission of the Beautification and Pride Committee is to encourage and lead in beautifying the homes, businesses and public properties and to promote and acknowledge the public display of pride of being part of Brook Park.

In December 2007, Brook Park City Council passed a resolution formally recognizing the creation of the Beautification and Pride Committee, comprised of Brook Park citizens, business representatives and City Administration.  The Mission of the Beautification and Pride (B&P) Committee is to encourage and lead in beautifying the homes, businesses and public properties and to promote and acknowledge the public display of pride of being part of Brook Park.  The Committee hopes to meet this Mission through the sponsorship and promotion of various activities, including community clean-ups, beautification projects and public display of community pride.

In 2008, the B&P Committee implemented a program recognizing residences that put in the effort to maintain and improve their properties.  (For more details on the Beautification and Pride Awards Program, see the next page.)

If you are interested in being participating or sponsoring the City of Brook Park Beautification and Pride Committee, please free to attend our monthly meetings – held the 2^nd Wednesday of every month at the Brook Park Recreation Center.

·        Meetings

Meetings are the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm in room #4 of the Brook Park Recreation Center.

Note:  The following Awards Guidelines apply to Residential property only.  In the future, the Awards Program will be expanded to include Commercial and Industrial properties.

·        The Beautification and Pride Committee will accept nominations for City of Brook Park Residences only.

·        1 Award Per Ward will be awarded each month from April through October

·        1 Award Per Ward will be awarded in December for best holiday decorations

·        Selection of Awards will be done by members of the Beautification and Pride Committee – based on nominations received throughout the year.

·        Nomination Forms will also be available on the City Website (www.cityofbrookpark.com)

·        Recognition will be provided by the Beautification and Pride Committee and also through other venues, such as Council Meetings, newsletters and web postings.
